Kota Yamaji is a Japanese digital artist currently based in Tokyo. Some of Kota’s earliest childhood memories include drawing his favorite characters from manga and animated films. As his passion for art grew overtime, Kota’s creative inspirations diversified to include not only Japanese pop and Kawaii culture, but also Dali, René Magritte, and other luminaries of the Surrealist and Dada movements. In 2015, Kota graduated from the Tama Art university with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a great fascination for computers and video editing. Since his studies, Kota’s recognizable dreamlike, neon worlds and characters have attracted the attention of, and have led him to collaborate with, global tech and fashion brands such as Apple, Adobe, TAG Heuer, and Onitsuka Tiger.
